What this website is
Total Eclipse Map is an independent, informational website about solar eclipses. It offers maps, times and durations calculated from public scientific data, safety guides and travel recommendations. We do not sell products or handle bookings: when we link to a shop or an accommodation site, any purchase or booking takes place on that site, under its terms.
Terms of use
Access is free and requires no registration. You agree to use the site lawfully, without harming it or third parties, and without bulk-extracting its content or data by automated means.
Accuracy
We calculate times and durations from the Besselian elements published by NASA and check them against reference sources. Results are still indicative: they may differ by a few seconds from other sources because of terrain, the lunar limb profile or rounding. Weather information is statistical and does not guarantee clear skies.
Eye-safety content is informational and does not replace advice from a health professional. Always follow the instructions of your glasses or filter manufacturer. If you notice any change in your vision after looking at the Sun, see an eye doctor.
